Returning to Cambodia was one thing. Yet it was necessary for me to choose the right place to settle. We hesitated between Siem Reap, with its fabulous temples of Angkor and Battambang, a city in full swing. We went there but despite the charm of these cities and all the opportunities available, we did not feel they would really correspond to our project: not a business but rather a place for exchanges in an authentic part of Cambodia. We then thought of Kep that seemed much closer to what we had in mind. After a half a day bus ride and we got there!.

After visiting many houses, guest houses and plots of land, we were about to leave not having found what we dreamed of. Yet the day before our departure, we made one last visit, 20 minutes from Kep’s center, lost in the rice fields, we arrived in front of a typical Khmer house, surrounded by fabulously lush vegetation. A little paradise ... It was there at last! Our mind was made up, we would settle down in Kep, with the luxury of being able to get away from the crowds in an unspoilt environment.

Then we turned to the building stage. The first thing to consider was how to lay out the land while retaining as much of the existing vegetation as possible when building the bungalows. We therefore embarked on the design and construction of 3 bungalows and a traditional hut. They had to be designed with a view to giving our guests a feeling of well-being.

Then came the swimming pool (using salt rather than chemicals so as to respect the environment), and a dining area as well as the arrangement of the ground floor of our house as a reception hall and living area that we wished to be more congenial. We decided to call our place "Le Logis de Kep"!

Our project has come to life and now the real adventure begins! Le Logis de Kep today is a traditional hut with a terrace on the pond, three bungalows with air conditioning, a swimming pool with Jacuzzi, a lounge-library, a restaurant area, a fabulous garden with mango trees, coconut trees, lemon trees etc. ...

It is also and above all a haven of peace, authenticity, in the heart of the countryside, in a real Khmer village! We are finally able to share this magic place with you and simply allow anyone who wishes to, to make a little stop in this secluded part of Cambodia in peace and serenity.
